Okay, let's try this again. [beware, crude language ensues]

The other day, =windinmysails asked me what happened to this stamp over at my old account, and I said how some retarded fucks had nothing better to do than to report it and get it taken down. So, I was eventually going to put it up again, and that just pushed it up.

First of all, this stamp took a reallylong time to make. It took forever to put the MPEG-4 video through ImageReady to extract the frames (I don't even have IR anymore on my new computer, so it would've been a lost cause...so thank god that :devwindinmysails had it in her journal, or else there would have been no other way for me to get this back into a GIF image) and with all the other little details, like pasting the stamp part to each individual frame (there's over 100), it was a labor of love.

And second of all, but never least of all, it was exactly that, a labor of love. I love Cid and Edea to death. They are my favorite coupling of all time, and I am completely obsessed with and devoted to them. I don't care that they're not everyone's favorite, they're mine, and it's incredibly special that they are the only canon couple I adore and can rave about for hours without throwing up (if the game put them together, they're canon...though it really doesn't seem that way...I guess I like Squinoa, too, but so does everyone else...stop talking!).

So, this stamp is a tribute to them. And if anyone wants to be a complete douchepacker again and report this stamp, be my fucking guest, but if you're going to get rid of mine, which in my opinion is a pretty nice, full frame motion stamp, you better go on and get rid of every other stamp that also uses stuff that doesn't belong to the creator of the stamp.

Yes, I do not own this footage, or these characters, or their game, but if someone else can make a shitty quality Kataang stamp at low res and have it remain in their gallery until the end of time, I have the same right. So it's equality, either way. All or nothing.

Hehe. Well said. Thanks for putting it up again (even though I haven't played the game...yet). I liked this stamp, so I was sad to see it go.
Tell me about it, though. I've had a few douchebags report plenty of my own stuff as well, so I can definitely relate. Just because of that, I actually warn people who spend plenty of time on putting together a wallpaper, that they'd better have a backup copy, in case some snitch who likes to go on a reporting spree comes along.

Btw, "warn" wasn't the word I was after. More like...bring it to people's attention, make them aware of it. I used the wrong word, sorry.

You haven't played it? Wow, I didn't know.

Well, I'm glad that you're glad to see it again. I'm glad to see it again, as well. :nod: But, really, like I said, if people who sloppily use the magic wand tool to crop something then messily paste it onto another background and it just looks like shit, can get away with using 'copyrighted images', why can't the people who spend so much time to make something look beautiful and of high quality have the same rights?

But, at least you know where I'm coming from on this. :hug:

Ummm.. basically nowhere. I think I got as far as obtaining Ifrit :XD:

I think the game originally belonged to my cousin and I only had to chance to play when I went to visit him a couple of years ago.

I had the hardest time when I started the game...I couldn't find the Fire Cavern where you obtain Ifrit and totally gave up on it for nearly a year when I was bored and decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I did, it's become my favorite game of all time and is so special to me.

If I would've given up completely, this stamp here wouldn't have been possible! :giggle:
